Announcement
2022-2023 Registration Information
It’s that time of year, where we start looking onwards and upwards towards next season. I have attached the 2022-2023 Registration documents. Your team Managers will also be handing these out in paper form and there will be some available at the bulletin board by the vending machine.
There are a few very important things to note.
-As of right now, we will be processing paper registrations only, you must fill out a paper registration form and scan it to winfieldmha@shaw.ca or drop it off through the mail slot of the hockey office door. All registration paperwork needs to be filled out completely, with payment attached (not to be processed until July 1st) and all required documentation signed to be considered complete. Hockey Canada is still working on the new online registration system, but it hasn’t been tested thoroughly yet and I don’t want anyone to miss out because of website issues. Registration forms are attached and can also be found under the “forms” tab.
-If your player is U15 or U18 and wanting to try out for a BC Hockey Elite League team, your managers have sent you that information and link already. I assume there will still be Omaha Zone teams as well but I haven’t received any information for those tryouts yet.
Here is the BCEHL link if you can’t find it https://www.bchockey.net/Leagues/Content.aspx?id=336
Your player MUST also be registered with your home association (WDMHA) prior to participation in those tryouts so please make sure you have their registration completed here as well. We will not hold spots for anyone who has not registered with us.
-This also applies to Female players who are trying out for Female teams in other associations, you must first register with WDMHA.
-Our numbers are increasing every year but our capacity does not, we will be full in some divisions. We open registration to new members June 1st, please register early so we can accommodate all returning players before accepting new ones. Rates increase by $100.00 July 1st so please make sure to take advantage of the early rate.
- We have not charged the Volunteer Bond fee again this year. We do of course, still expect that each family will help out with facilitating the season for your team. Without volunteers, we have no program.
Thanks to everyone for their patience as we navigated yet another unparalled season. Everyone put the kids first and made the best of a crazy situation. I appreciate that very much.
Have an amazing summer, we’re looking forward to a great season next year !!
Thank you,
Nicole Gulenchyn
