Gameday Procedures Winfield Arena

Winfield Minor Hockey Game Procedures 2020-2021 Season
-As per BC Hockey guidelines dated Oct 22, 2020 visiting teams are allowed maximum of 17 skaters and 2 goalies, 3 coaches, 1 HCSP, 1 videographer and 1 manager. Home teams are allowed maximum of 17 skaters, 2 goalies, 3 coaches, 1 HCSP, 1 videographer and 1 manager. There are also 3 referees, 1 timekeeper, 1 scorekeeper and 2 COVID ambassadors from the home team. No spectators are allowed, including scratched or injured players. All team officials not on the bench will proceed directly to the spectator area and maintain a physical distance of 6 feet at all times.
-Away team will arrive and be allowed entry to the arena 30 minutes prior to gametime. The Coaches are responsible for making sure the team follows Winfield’s arenas COVID protocol and must be present before the team will be allowed entry to the building.Each player and team official must have a completed screening form (see attached) filled out to present to the COVID ambassador upon entry. Players are to proceed directly to the dressing room. Each team will have one dressing room, girls will be in a separate dressing room. All players are to wear masks upon entry until it is time to put on their helmets and proceed to the field of play. There is to be one person designated to fill water bottles. All bench staff are to wear masks.
-Home team and referees will arrive 15 minutes prior to gametime, will be screened before entry by the COVID ambassador and proceed directly to the dressing room. All players are to wear masks until it is time to wear helmets and proceed to the field of play. There will be one person designated to fill water bottles. All Bench staff are to wear masks.
-Home players will enter the field of play through the Home players bench and Visitors will enter through the designated Visitors gate.
-Outside the field of play, participants are to maintain 2 metres physical distance and should wear masks if unable to maintain physical distancing.
-Timekeepers and scorekeepers will be screened in 15 minutes prior to gametime and are to proceed directly to the timekeepers box and must be wearing masks.
-All participants are to commit to not spitting anywhere in the facility or on the ice due to the possibility of virus transmission through the spread of droplets.
-Teams must be out of the facility within 15 minutes of the game ending.
